Justice Project Pakistan, (JPP) gives a voice to the poorest Pakistani prisoners at home and abroad. In 2009, JPP was established as a non-profit, human rights law firm in Lahore, Pakistan providing pro bono (free) legal advice and investigative services to those facing the death penalty, who have suffered police torture, are mentally ill, or are victims in the war on terror.

JPP extensively researches and investigates our client’s cases in order to take strategic legal action to challenge unjust laws, create progressive legal precedent, and highlight systematic abuses. We are working to improve the rights of the mentally ill, restrict the application of the death penalty, advocate for freedom of information in Pakistan, and require the fundamental human rights of prisoners and those in state custody.

JPP organises conferences and training on all our areas of expertise for judges and lawyers to build capacity within the judicial system in Pakistan.
